Here's a few suggestions for this Spring's JPs Hofstra Show:

Yankees (some of which fall into your typical free signer category):
- Mike Stanton (ex Yankee / Met reliever)
- David Justice (he cancelled from the Hofstra October Show and never rescheduled)
- Chuck Knoblauch (is he able to do signings due to legal conflicts?)
- Rollie Sheldon
- Mike Pagliarulo
- Art Ditmar
- Bud Daley
- Rudy May
- Steve Sax
- Danny Tartabull
- Melido Perez

HOFers:
- Tony LaRussa

Also, the website calendar doesn't have dates listed for a second Hofstra show this year in October, as is typically the case. Can you confirm if there will be another show at Hofstra in October '16?

Thanks.

Looks like you're getting your wish on Justice. On MAB's website they have him listed for JP's March show, on Sunday.

Hope they can add some 96 Yankees. 20 years since that one.
Cecil Fielder, Mariano Duncan, never seen Bernie at a JP show if he has it must have been a while ago. any 96 guys would be cool.

Thanks, it looks like they're rescheduling him for White Plains even though he was originally listed for Hofstra last October. :/

Wouldn't mind seeing some of the Islanders greats at this show. It's been awhile.

Could you possibly give consideration to getting some Yankees of any tier who have little to no previous show exposure for Hofstra? Constant Hofstra Mets overload and now a March Westchester Mets extravaganza is really a slap in Yankee collectors faces.

Might as well put the plugs in for a few Mets....

Craig Swan (10 years since last JPRS)
Doug Flynn (never at JPRS)
Hubie Brooks (never at a show period)
Lee Mazzilli (4+ years since last JPRS...Met/Yankee)
Jack Fisher (10 years since last Hofstra JPRS)

I agree that most shows have been heavy with Met guests since the playoffs last year. This coupled with the 86 reunion show, another 69 reunion, and Piazza's HOF induction.

Six weeks into the calendar year, I'm not ready to classify it as a "slow" year for Yankee collectors. I actually thought there were a lot of new names at the MAB Yankee show, highlighted by Alfonso Soriano's first appearance.

With that being said, there's no question that it'd be nice to see a stronger Yankee presence at the next JPs show.

At the White Plains March show, David Justice is the only ex Yankee guest (not including Ron Swoboda's awfully brief stint). Justice is a rescheduled guest from his cancellation last October...JPs also has him at higher prices for the new date. Without other Yankee guests in attendance, I don't think that was the best time for JPs to reschedule him.

Once again, I'll suggest Jim Abbott as a potential guest.

We have tried to get Jim Abbott for years, he just does not want to do it.

Okay fine, I'm sure there's hundreds and hundreds of other Yankees sitting home that would want to do it. And please, not the same old names that get passed between you and MAB time after time.

You guys did well with Randy Velarde a few years back. That's the kind of obscure, new guest that I think we're all talking about.

Surprising that JPs now says Abbott doesn't want to do a signing. When I spoke with JPs about Abbott three or so years ago, I was told that it was just a matter of money. Abbott travels frequently for speaking engagements, so perhaps something could be worked out the next time he's on the east coast.

Some more suggestions:

- Rollie Sheldon
- Art Ditmar
- Mike Stanton
- Mike Pagliarulo
- Rudy May
- Danny Tartabull
- Chuck Knoblauch

As far as Jim Abbott goes it is a money issue, but the biggest issue is that he does not want to do signings.

We are going to look into more Yankees this year, we have to make sure it makes sense for you the collector and us the promoter.

As I posted once before about a year ago when we had a Randy Verlarde and Claudell Washington into a show a few years back I think we lost aprox 60% of our money on these guys. We thought they were great names for the show but we just could not get the support for them, so we have to be careful in what we do.

We will keep working at it.

What about Ricky Ledee? He's a Philly guy. A Championship Yankee and as far as I can remember hasn't done a show in years
