Bronxlou,

Just posted under Hofstra that we just added Doc Medich. I know he was on a few lists here, I tried him for March White Plains he was not available so figured lets get him when we can and put him into Hofsrta.

Also added Richie Hebner for White Plains in Sunday as a free guest.

Here is an update on some of the Mets you requested

Jerry Koosman - Trying
Gary Gentry - Can't Locate right now, have had in the past three or four times
Ken Boswell - Won't travel anymore
JC Martin - Won't travel anymore
Rod Gaspar -Only if he is on the East Coast at the time, had him once when it worked out
Bobby Pfeil - Won't travel anymore

We tried to get all of these names last year for the Met's show we did and have tried some of them for years to no avail.

Thanks for the insight. Won't push so hard on the non-travelers going forward. Can't hurt to ask, but don't want to barrage you with the same names repeatedly. If you get them someday, I'll be pleasantly surprised. I know you are out there giving it your best shot with these guys. Hopefully Gentry returns from exile someday.

Keep those 1994 Ranger names in mind if you can. Those guys I named haven't been around at all. The 25th Anniversary is not that far away, and would love to finally put to rest an item I have been working on since the fall after they won the Cup.

Brosius has coaching obligations during the season

I'd be interested in some of the others that you mention, especially Chuck Knoblauch

That's one of the reasons I have suggested Steve Sax. Former ROY and ex Yankee so you're reaching out to two kinds of collectors, similar to when you've had guys like Stan Bahnsen, John Montefusco and Bobby Shantz as freebies (ex Yankee and Award Winner.)

Brief time with the Yankees, but did make 2 all star teams and had 2 seasons with 190+ hits. He hasn't done a show on the east coast since the 2008 ASG week, but he does make many appearances out west and has traveled for XM Radio, Speaking, and Coaching obligations.

I think he falls right in line with the typical JPs freebie style guest.

On the subject of non-baseball requests, and since JP has been bringing in a large number of football players over the past few shows, I would love to see the members of the Jets Super Bowl III team that have been really difficult to track down. My short list is:

Jim Turner
John Neidert
Bill Rademacher
Jim Richards
Mark Smolinski
Steve Thompson

It's been a very long time since Turner, Richards and Smolinski have made an appearance. I don't believe the other 3 have ever been around. If you could work your magic and bring these guys in, it'd be a huge get. All of my fellow Jets collectors have been trying to track these guys down for years.

Mrjeter.
We have talked to Steve Sax agent multiple times. I agree 100 percent with you great name and would be great freebee or low priced guest. The problem is every time we talk to his agent he wants tooooo muchhhh money, we can get hofs cheaper or give you two free guests cheaper like we did last show. He has just priced himself too high if may be because he doesn't want to come to the east coast, he may be raising the price because it's New York.

Understand completely. I figured as much given that he does plenty of appearances out west. Thanks for trying and for the candid response.

How about Knoblauch? Any chance you get him? ROY and ex Yankee. Also, if you guys bring Mariano back you can do a WS MVP lineup with Wettelend and Brosius. Maybe even the usuals like Richardson and Reggie. That would make for a nice piece for us Yankees fans
