It was public. But he also lives where the signing was.

Jim,

I know a few of us have suggested Chuck Knoblauch. Have you had any luck with him?

Or ex-Yank/Met Gary Sheffield? Last time either you or MAB had him via MC Sports, I think his pricing started at ~$35 for all flats/balls. Not too bad. Maybe he'd be interested with Uncle Doc Gooden doing the show Saturday.

Yeah he as offered to me, just not sure if anyone has a need for him

He is a great signer IMO, and has one of the coolest looking signatures out there.

But as a few have already stated, he is not exactly a rare sighting these days, so I'd be surprised if there are many out there who need him.

Heck, even I have his auto, and I don't really do much baseball collecting....

I'd love to see Ryan Thompson at a future show. Former Met and Yankee. He was also on the 2000 WS Team

I remember Leiter did a show at Mollie's a few years back. Another member posted this story (don't remember who) - I guess the member asked Leiter to sign his pitching rubber - or as brillis would say, "rubber"...although he'd probably spell it as "rubbore." Anyway, the item must have been signed by dozens of pitching greats, such as Sandy, Drysdale, Gibson, etc. Apparently Leiter was so in love with the piece that he took out his wallet and attempted to buy the piece from the collector. To no avail, but I thought that was a neat story and it seemed like Leiter enjoyed the show and seeing different memorabilia pieces.

I got Leiter at the NY Auto show 2 years ago on a Mets piece. He seemed completely into my project, asked a lot of questions, gave me ideas on how to get other players, but also made a face when he said I might be stuck "having to go to card shows"...he told me the same story about the pitching rubber. He was great btw. One of my favorite player encounters. Keep trying...maybe you can break him.

I got Leiter about 10 years or so ago, ironically, on my Mets pitching "rubber". He was one of the first few to sign it, with Tom Seaver, who was the first. Anyway, he asked me how many pitchers I was gonna have sign it, where I got it, etc.... He said it was a cool idea, and wished me luck. Seemed like a great guy, and talked with everyone, from what I can remember.
Hopefully, you can change his mind, because I would love to get him on a bunch of stuff.........

Jimmy can I request Len Dawson for either this event or the up coming white plains show... you don`t have any football hall of famers yet would be good for Sunday and/or Largent if you can get them for the pricing they just were at sun-times I would be in for 3 Dawson and 2 Largent at $35 each all day long...

still hoping for 1 more islander hof guy Billy smith would be perrrrfect

just got my 8 by 10 back from Guy Lafleur wrote him and have a beautiful signed photo with him and bossy with hof and goal`s so that is 5 Bossy I have to pick up now

Priced out of Harvey but will get the older mets waiting on a print to come in that has 40 guys on it...

ya all did good on this event

Can't think of any reason to bring in Dawson for an April show if he's already doing a show in New Jersey in April.

Thanks Guys! In a perfect world I need 4 of Harvey as well as all but 2 of the other Mets. Looks like the bank account will be in the negative lol.
