Interesting add ... for a sec I thought it was Ted Martinez very very tough one to get I have to look and see if I have any late 70ies things for him to go on but a good new and different name all the same .........

I guess Neil Allen would be out I think he is a coach somewhere

Jimmy, Serious question...Do you and your team screen what the potential guest's signature is like before signing the deal? For example, I was checking on Dontrelle, and, boy he has some poor signatures, even for trading cards...this could be only a buyer beware situation, but, I for one chose not to get Willie Roaf at the last show because his signature is so poor...So much better getting a Dawson or Stenerud for quality...I did get Hornung, and, while I wasn't thrilled, figured it may be the last chance..and, I didn't research how he was doing...
TIA

Gzman,

I'll be very honest with you the answer to your question is no we don't screen the guests signature, really never thought about it. We try and work on guests names that we think will make good guests and hopefully have not been around. The thought behind Dontrelle was that he was a rookie of the year and a World Series champ and had not been around. I do like your idea of looking at the guests signature. We have a lot on our plate with running the show and picking guests that I personally never thought about it.

Thanks for your question and input

Jim

Jim/Ryan:

I was out of town when you had Duke Carmel last August in White Plains when you tried out the "Collector's Corner" Friday night session. How did that go over? Was it something you would do again in the future? Just curious. Also agree with Reader on bringing him to Hofstra. He's a Long Island guy, maybe he would be available.
